REALTORS® and Affiliates Making A Difference
For more than 30 years REALTORS® of the Sanibel & Captiva Island Association of REALTORS® have joined with their affiliates in the real estate industry to make important contributions to community service programs and advocate for private property rights. We are always looking for ways to engage our members in various activities and programs. We believe that there is no better way to combine fundraising for an excellent cause with the fun and pleasure of networking than to take part in community service projects and advocate for private property rights. This is why we support several SWFL community service activities throughout the year, as well as help raise funds to fight for private property rights. SCCF, CROW, Meals of Hope, Bedz 4 Kidz, F.I.S.H, Harry Chapin Food Bank, A.C.T. and Friends Who Care are some of the local organizations in SWFL that we have provided donations to. Fundraising efforts include such social and networking events as our Fall into Christmas, “End of Season” Party, Water Quality Fundraisers, and others.
Thank you to the many members who have helped build a better community through involvement in these activities in the past! Our Communications & P.R. Committee is always looking for new participants to take part in these projects, so if you want to join the fun and make a difference, download our committee sign up form in the Resources section. Along with these charitable efforts the RPAC Committee also raises funds to help advocate for private property rights, environmental concerns, and homeownership.
Check out some of the pictures from these events below. You will see that REALTORS® and Affiliate Business Partners continue to work together to make a difference on the islands and beyond. The Meals of Hope Food packing event paid for and packaged over 20,000 meals for those in need in Southwest Florida. The Beach Cleanup event was part of the International Coastal Cleanup Day and members helped clean the causeway beaches by picking up trash and properly disposing of items left behind by beach goers that could endanger sea life. The Water Quality Cornhole Tournament raised over $700 for Water Quality and Captains for Clean Water. The Fall into Christmas Toy Drive event raised money and collected toys for children in need during the holidays. And over our 30+ years as an Association we have won numerous annual awards for fundraising efforts in the State of Florida to advocate for homeownership and private property rights, as well as water quality. These are just a few of the events and drives that REALTOR® members and Affiliate Business Partners do to give back to the community and make our community a better place because That’s Who We R®.
